CHRISTIAN ZYP
Christian initially became involved with EIFF as a member of the media. His association with the independent media, and connection to the Edmonton Catholic School Board (as a teacher) led him to become an asset for the EIFFS Board. Drama/Film Studies teacher, podcast host and writer/performer are just a few of the hats Christian has worn. Edmonton born and raised, he is invested in helping promote local and Canadian independent cinema.  Memorable EIFF Moment… the screening and Q&A of BLACK COP at the 2017 EIFF with Director/Writer, Corey Bowles.

DANY LE
Dany is a Partner at MNP LLP and lead’s the Business Valuation and Litigation Support practice in Edmonton. Dany focuses on learning about all local businesses and helping clients. Dany was born and raised in Edmonton and spends his free time playing in the city's ball hockey leagues, being in the presence of live music and staying on top of movies. Dany has attended the festival for years and now looks forward to working with EIFFS to grow its presence.  “The older you get, the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N.” — Wooderson (DAZED AND CONFUSED, 1993).

JOHN O'CALLAGHAN
John has long admired EIFF as ‘the’ premiere event in Edmonton's busy festival calendar.  He was especially honored when the existing Board members accepted him to the Board in 2014.  Since that time, John has reviewed films, attended brain storming sessions and tried to stay out of the way as the EIFF's dedicated staff weave their magic each fall.  By day, John practices tax law with the Federal Government, both as an advisor and litigator.  When he's not buried in tax texts, John can usually be seen taking advantage of Edmonton's burgeoning dining scene (and adding to his evergreen list of the "Top 25 Things to Eat in Edmonton"). If you see him out and about, he'd be happy to give you an earful, when he doesn't have a mouth full.  “A movie I still think about… GODFATHER I and II (but not III, which I have tried to forget).”

YONATHAN SUMAMO
Yonathan is a communicator, a strategist, a movie-lover and a connoisseur of cocktails!  His strong work ethic, attention to detail and charming intellect have added value to every professional journey he has taken so far – media relations, marketing, writing and communications.  A passionate volunteer, Yonathan contributes as a Social Media Manager with EIFF.  You’ll find Yoni at the festival – the man with a smile that’s like a big, warm, hug! – hash tagging the heck out of EIFF ‘moments’!

MIKE LUPIEN
When Mike isn’t busy with the day to day operation of his public relations consultancy and contracting service, he is providing his talents and knowledge to organizations with a story to tell like the Edmonton International Film Festival. A film maker in his younger days, Mike is interested in opportunities to appreciate films or be involved in the industry in some way. Mike and his wife support many local organizations particularly in the Arts, Education and within their community. They have four children who keep them busy from sunrise to sunset, and maybe a little more after that. Mike is an accredited member of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
