HOW IT WORKS
•PLEASE NOTE: Thank you for your interest, as of September 19 we are no longer acception online applications. There will be NO in-person registration on the morning before the event kicks off.

• All teams that have registered online must send one team representative to Edmonton City Centre in downtown between 10am and 10:45am for sign-in on Saturday, September 27th.

• A brief Q&A will be held starting at 10:45am. 

• At 10:59am 24/One organizers will announce a THEME or a PHRASE around which to base your film. 

• The completed movie must be delivered – in-person – the following day, Sunday, September 28th by 11am back at the place you started – Edmonton City Centre. 

• Entry fee per team is $45.  This is payable when you register online and is non-negotiable. 

• TEAMS are made up of up to 3 people – Producer, Writer, Director.  You can have as many actors, editors, writers, etc. as you’d like.

• The films will then be reviewed – no explicit sex, violence, or coarse language, please – and screened on Friday, October 3rd as part of the Edmonton International Film Festival.  Audiences will choose the winning film.

• Completed films must be a maximum of 5 minutes in length, including titles and credits.

• To enter the 24/ONE Challenge, at least ONE TEAM MEMBER must be eighteen (18) years of age at start time on September 27th as the Edmonton International Film Festival is not responsible for supervision of minors.


AWARDS
On Friday, October 3rd the EIFF will hold a world premier, public screening of the top 10 films produced as part of 24/ONE. This screening will take place at 7:30 p.m. on the 3rd floor of Edmonton City Centre at Empire City Centre 9 movie theatre complex. Jurors will select the TOP TEN films to screen on Friday, October 3rd.
24/One Awards sponsors are...




The team with the best video – chosen by 'the people' – will receive $500 cash from Matrix Video and camera rentals for Best Director and Best Cinematographer. ACTRA is providing a $250 cash prize each to the Best Male and Best Female Actors.

NEW THIS YEAR!
Previously, EIFF has presented ALL the films created during 24/One at Metro Cinema the week after the festival.  Organizers will NOT be able to do this again this year, and apologize for the need to make this decision.

START LOCATION to sign-in and Q&A on Saturday, Sept. 27th is at Empire City Centre 9 – the movie theatre complex on the 3rd floor of Edmonton City Centre.  Please arrive early so you’ve got time to find the place.  Sign-in is from 10am to 10:45am.

MORE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

• ONLY films that are delivered by the 11am deadline on Sunday, September 28th  will be considered for awards. 
• Films with coarse language or nudity will be disqualified.
• Admission for the Awards screening on Friday, October 3rd is $10 per person.  Two (2) filmmakers from each TEAM are admitted for FREE.
